Similar to normal workout classes, fitness dance class tend to adopt the same structure and level variation. There is usually a completely novice level, an intermediate level, and then the expert or basically the "as hard as it gets" level.

1. Beginner Level

These are always great for styles that you may not be very familiar with. The best thing about the beginner level is that you are with a bunch of people who are also just trying to learn and have fun. There's not much going into it about learning technique and executing perfectly. Instead its more about getting loose and comfortable with the moves and the style.

Usually beginner level classes start of with stretches as most dance classes do followed by the basics of that particular style.

2. Intermediate Level

Intermediate level classes tend to be slightly more fast paced however the instructors are still helping with form and technique to make sure you are getting the most out of the class and the workout. These classes are more focused on moving and breaking a sweat as well as execution. Something to keep in mind is, everyone varies in their experience levels so there is absolutely no reason to get nervous or feel anxious because EVERYONE is there to have fun, learn, dance, and sweat!

These classes also start out with stretches followed by a warm up and then learning a routine or set of steps that will guide everyone through the class.

3. Expert or Well Experienced Level

As daunting as these may seem, these classes are also aimed at learning and growing in the particular style or form as well as working out and feeling good. These are faster paced classes that have more technique and precision involved.

These classes also start out with some simple stretches, a warm up, and then learning a routine or set of usually medium to high intensity steps that are learned and then performed!
